Late Nite Grindhouse Presents “Slumber Party Massacre Double Feature Party” This Weekend at Marcus Des Peres

Gang, it’s been weird not seeing people for a few months but I’m happy to announce that Late Nite Grindhouse presentations will be gracing the silver screen again at our new home at Marcus Theatres’ Des Peres. We are super proud to be up and running again but we are presenting our first double feature – something I have been trying to do since the beginning of Late Nite Grindhouse over nine years ago. THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE: Written as a commentary on the inherent sexism of slashers by feminist icon Rita Mae Brown — but filmed completely straight — THE SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE is a terrific inside joke that also delivers the goods as a skid row photocopy of HALLOWEEN, complete with a killer who’s figuratively castrated when the tip of his power drill is hacked off. SLUMBER PARTY MASSACRE II: The ultimate horror-rock blasterpiece! An all-female hard rock band rents a condo for a much-needed vacation. Their tranquility is cut short by a heavy metal dream-demon and his murder weapon of choice: the drill-tar.

Tickets have been on sale for a few weeks (sorry I’m posting this late) and we are already looking at 60% sold for Friday night and about 48% sold for Saturday night as of this post.

The show will start at 10PM with a rough schedule of the following:

10PM – Pre-Show
10:15PM – The Slumber Party Massacre
11:30PM – Intermission (10 minutes of vintage ads and weirdness including an unforgettable video involving the sun you will not forget)
11:40PM Slumber Party Massacre II

The concession stand and the Take Five Bar & Lounge will be open until Midnight so you ghouls can get some more snacks and drinks during the intermission.
