Late Nite Grindhouse Presents ‘THE LIVING DEAD AT MANCHESTER MORGUE’ at Marcus Des Peres 14 Cine on June 12 & 13

For our June Late Nite Grindhouse show, we will be continuing down the path of our exploration into the infamous Hallmark Releasing Corporation by showing The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue (aka. Don’t Open the Window, Let Sleeping Corpses Lie).

If you’ve never seen this zombie staple, you’re in for a treat. Not only is it sporting one of the grooviest soundtracks but this is probably one of the best zombie films around. Unfortunately, it rarely gets talked about in the same breath as Romero’s iconic films. Fill the gap by catching this one on the big screen.

We will not have a July Late Nite Grindhouse show but will return in August!

SYNOPSIS for

The Living Dead at Manchester Morgue

Many movies claim to be the “greatest zombie movie ever made,” but few come as close to owning that title as the Spanish ‘70s masterclass THE LIVING DEAD OF MANCHESTER MORGUE. Two young travelers are wrongfully accused of a spree of murders by the police and are forced to clear their names by uncovering the truth, unaware that they’ve become targets in a major government conspiracy – one that involves raising the dead! Rivaling Fulci and even Romero in its gory cascade of undead carnage, THE LIVING DEAD OF MANCHESTER MORGUE is a zombie cinema experience you just can’t miss.

Coming from a household of a sci-fi father and a horror/supernatural loving mother, Andy's path to loving genre film was clear. He misses VHS and his personal Saturday night 6 tape movie marathons from his youth.
