The Teaser Trailer for INSIDIOUS is Here

In my book, director James Wan is three for three.  He made a standout break through with the first Saw film.  Dead Silence was a great, atmospheric throwback to classic ghost stories.  Finally, Death Sentence was an equally enjoyable revenge ride that is highlighted by a great performance from Kevin Bacon.  Judging by the early reviews that came out after last year’s premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival, Insidious seems to only raise this young director to the next level.  After mounting anticipation, we finally have the teaser trailer for Insidious.  Check it out after the jump.

Insidious, starring Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Barbara Hershey, Angus Sampson, and Ty Simpkins, opens everywhere April 1.

When proud parents take possession of an old house, an accident results in one of their sons falling into a coma. The tragedy doesn’t stop there when they are beset by vengeful spirits from another realm in this new chiller by the director and writer of Saw and by the producers of Paranormal Activity.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
