The first clip from James Wan and Leigh Whannell’s INSIDIOUS is unearthed

I was a fan of Saw when it first came out.  I still like it a lot despite some clunky acting.  I still haven’t seen Dead Silence and I thought Death Sentence was a solid entry.  I’m very interested to check out Insidious, especially after this clip which reminds me a lot of Poltergeist.

Yahoo! Movies is hosting the clip which has Leigh Whannell drawing a description by Lin Shaye.  Currently, there is no release date for Insidious other than it’s Midnight show tonight at TIFF.  After seeing this clip, I have no doubt that a company will pick it up.

Synopsis:

Josh (Patrick Wilson) and Renai (Rose Byrne) have a happy family with their three young children. When tragedy strikes their young son, Josh and Renai begin to experience things that science cannot explain.
James Wan and Leigh Whannell, the co-creators of Saw, join forces with the producers of Paranormal Activity to take you on a mind-bending journey into the world of the unknown. INSIDIOUS is produced by Jason Blum, Steven Schneider, and Oren Peli and executive produced by Brian Kavanaugh-Jones.
