Nostalgic 80’s Amblin-esque STRANGER THINGS Trailer is a Must See!

Personally, it’s odd that I hear about this show today. I just got my 3 12-packs of Hi-C’s Ecto Cooler in the mail from Amazon Pantry in my house today (couldn’t find it locally) and from my first sip, I remembered all the things I did in the 90’s. 6 VHS tape From Dusk ‘Til Dawn Marathons in my room of my parent’s house. Eating pizza from a plate while sitting on the floor so I could be closer to my tube television and VCR so I could quickly rewind the tape of the film I just watched and put in the next one to keep the movie marathon going. Then, this trailer comes across my inbox and it hits all the right chords. I’ll admit, that maybe it hit me at a nostalgic time but I think this series looks amazing. Check out the trailer below.

Sometimes the truth can be stranger than fiction…

Set in Hawkins Indiana in the 1980’s, Stranger Things chronicles the search for a young boy who vanishes into thin air under highly suspicious circumstances. His mother (Winona Ryder) opens an investigation into the boy’s disappearance with local authorities that unravels a series of mysteries involving top-secret government experiments, terrifying supernatural forces and one very strange little girl. A love letter to the ubiquitous cult classics of the 80’s, Stranger Things is a coming of age story for three boys that draws this quaint community into a world where mysteries lurk beneath the surface.

Starring Winona Ryder, Matthew Modine, David Harbour, Charlie Heaton, Natalia Dyer, and Millie Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Cara Buono.

Stranger Things is created, executive produced and directed by The Duffer Brothers (Wayward Pines), and executive producers Shawn Levy (Night at The Museum), and Dan Cohen (Story of Your Life). Shawn Levy also serves as director.
