RUBBER Gets a Classic look thanks to Two Renowned Artists

Boris Vallejo has been working in art since the 1960’s .  His signature ultra-realistic, brightly colored fantasy paintings have graced the covers of Conan the Barbarian and Tarzan and can be seen on posters for such movies as Barbarella and National Lampoon’s Vacation.  In recent years, Vallejo has teamed up with fellow fantasy artist and wife Julie Bell to create similiar amazing work.  Thier most recent collaboration can be seen as the new poster for Quentin Dupieux’s experimental film Rubber.  You can check the hilarious and beautiful poster out after the break.

Rubber can be currently be seen on Video on Demand and then will be given a limited theatrical release starting April 1.  Check out Andy’s review from Fantastic Fest if this poster isn’t enough to make you want to see Rubber.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
