Warner brings an old classic and a modern Carpenter classic to Blu-Ray this October!

The good thing about October is the fact that studios dig into their archives to find some titles that haven’t been released in a format or that they could produce additional special features for a new release. This October, Warner Brothers brings Robert Wise’s classic The Haunting and John Carpenter’s underrated film In the Mouth of Madness to Blu-Ray. It is unknown if new features are being created for these releases or if these are re-masters. One could only hope so, as of now, consider this just an announcement.

I will say that I have some doubts about WB really doing these releases justice. I would love to see Scream Factory be in charge of these releases in order to get new supplements but for now, these will do. Oh yeah, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning is also getting a hi-def release. In the Mouth of Madness has been out of print for a few years now and even though I have it on DVD, I can’t wait to see it on Blu-Ray.
