THE WOMAN’s Theatrical Trailer and List of Cities are fully Exposed

Whether or not you believe the now notorious video of the man walking out of the screening at Sundance of The Woman, one can’t help but believe all of the positive feedback the film has been getting.  Lucky McKee initially stunned horror fans with the subversive film May.  His expert direction and quirky storytelling gave us a classic horror monster in May that was just as equally misunderstood as the Frankenstein monster.  Now, McKee seems to have once again shocked audiences with his new film The Woman.  Written by famed horror writer Jack Ketchum, The Woman tells the tale of a seemingly ordinary family who attempts to “civilize” a wild-woman that the father captures in the woods.  Starting October 14, you too will be able to see the film that apparently shocked a man into leaving the theater at Cannes and spouting that the filmought to be confiscated and burned. There’s no value in showing this to anyone.”  See for yourself with this new theatrical trailer after the break.

The film opens in select theaters on Oct. 14 under the new Bloody-Disgusting Selects banner.  The films Yellow Brick Road and Coldfish have previously been released in this lineup.

Listed below are the first group of cities and AMC theaters that will show The Woman.  More cities are said to be added later.  Hopefully St. Louis will make the cut in the next batch of cities!

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
