See Who’s Pulling the Strings in Second ‘CABIN IN THE WOODS’ Trailer

At this point, if you have avoided the first trailer for Joss Whedon‘s and Drew Goddard‘s deconstructionist horror film The Cabin in the Woods, I would suggest to stay completely in the dark from here on out.  The few who have seen the film say that there are still a cabin full of secrets and surprises that aren’t featured in either trailer.  Though this may be true, both trailers do reveal the first major twist that concerns why five friends encounter some bizarre happenings.  Thankfully this second trailer doesn’t reveal too much that hadn’t already been shown in the initial shocking trailer.  Still, I can’t help but warn you to proceed with caution.  It might be good enough to know that the film is more than just  your typical “teens go to a remote cabin for the weekend.”  All of the secrets of the cabin will be revealed when its doors open for a stay on April 13.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
