Here’s the first still from Joss Whedon’s THE CABIN IN THE WOODS!
Now that Lionsgate has officially acquired the rights to release Drew Goddard’s and Joss Whedon’s horror flick The Cabin in the Woods, hopefully we will see more stills like this recently released photo. Though the photo doesn’t give us much to look at, we do get a clear look at our fresh batch of young victims. Fans of the film and the talented team behind it have waited patiently for over a year as the film has sat on the dusty shelf of distribution hell. Unfortunately they may have to wait even longer (again) as the studio STILL doesn’t have a definitive release date set as of yet. Until we hear news of the sacred date, check out the new photo after the break.

The Chris Hemsworth starring The Cabin in the Woods is rumored to be released in October of this year. Yet . . . if I had to put money on it . . . I would bet that it plays at this year’s Fantastic Fest 2011 which screens at the end of September. Here’s hoping!
