Cover yourself in some troll-scent this August when TROLLHUNTER Stomps onto Blu-ray

One of the most talked about releases of the year would have to be the Norwegian horror/fantasy film Trollhunter (Trolljegeren).  After the film pleasantly surprised audiences at the 2011 Cannes Film Festival, Magnolia Pictures released this monster-of -a- hit to select cities in the following months.  What works well in the film is the creative universe writer and director André Øvredal creates surrounding the mythology of the iconic trollhunter featured in the film.  If you were unable to see this clever mockumentary on the big-screen, come August 23, you too can join in the hunt for the monstrous trolls.  Keep reading to see the cover and what special features you can expect on the upcoming Blu-ray.

Make sure to catch this original film before Hollywood remakes it.  1492 and CJ Entertainment & Media are already set to begin developing a remake to be released stateside.

Trollhunter hits Blu-ray on August 23

Trollhunter Extras Include:

  • Making-of Featurette
  • Deleted Scenes
  • HDNet special on the film
  • International Trailer

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
