Local Horror – The Lemp Mansion Investigation on GHOST HUNTERS

St. Louis, like many cities along the Mississippi River, is full of ghost stories.  One of the most interesting tales of haunts is that of the Lemp family and the Lemp Mansion.  The Lemp brewery still stands in St. Louis.  Most people don’t know this but the Lemps are some of the first, if not the first – there is still some debate, brewers to bring German Lager into the US.  The Lemp family also have a very tragic history that is legend in St. Louis.

I have been on many paranormal tours within the Lemp Mansion.  Sometimes things would happen that I couldn’t explain.  Sometimes, nothing happened.  However, the building has always been interesting to me.  When you enter the mansion, there is a certain feeling to it that is sort of unexplainable.

For the month of October, we are trying to highlight things in St. Louis that give some people the heebie-jeebies while reflecting on local history.

A few weeks back, an episode of the TAPS team investigating into St. Louis’ Lemp Mansion aired on the Syfy Channel.  I thought it would be appropriate to post it here as I love the Lemp history and the fact that the stories of the Lemp family seem to resurface around Halloween time.  Actually, the paranormal tours of the mansion are sold out for the rest of October.

In addition to his role on the site, he also programs St. Louis' monthly horror & exploitation theatrical midnight program, Late Nite Grindhouse. Coming from a household of a sci-fi father and a horror/supernatural loving mother, Andy's path to loving genre film was clear. He misses VHS and his personal Saturday night 6 tape movie marathons from his youth.
