Late Nite Grindhouse Presents SUBVERSIVE SUBURBIA Double Feature – ‘The ‘Burbs’ & ‘The People Under the Stairs’

Join us for a themed Double Feature at Late Nite Grindhouse in September with Subversive Suburbia as we show Joe Dante’s “The ‘Burbs” & Wes Craven’s “The People Under the Stairs”!! This double feature was cooked up around the time of All-Day Grindhouse IV but we knew that it would do well as a double feature on its own.

Tix are on sale now. $18 for both films – feel free to join us for one or both. “The ‘Burbs” starts in the 8PM hour with “The People Under the Stairs” to follow.

SYNOPSIS for The ‘Burbs

An overstressed suburbanite and his fellow neighbors are convinced that the new family on the block are part of a murderous Satanic cult.

SYNOPSIS for The People Under the Stairs

When Fool breaks into the home of his family’s landlords, he discovers that they have mutilated several boys and kept them imprisoned under stairs. As Fool attempts to flee, he meets their daughter, Alice. Can Fool and Alice escape?

Andy Triefenbach is the Editor-in-Chief and owner of DestroytheBrain.com. In addition to his role on the site, he also programs St. Louis' monthly horror & exploitation theatrical midnight program, Late Nite Grindhouse. Coming from a household of a sci-fi father and a horror/supernatural loving mother, Andy's path to loving genre film was clear.
