Rob Zombie on The Food Network?

Yes, read it over and over again and ask yourself, “Did he truly title the article correctly?” Well, yes, I did and here is the reason why: Because he is going to be on there! This is the season where leaves change colors, the air gets colder, and everyone dresses up for a magical night known as Halloween. Being who I am, Halloween has always been my favorite holiday and once September comes, it’s time to look at the network list and see what channels are showing holiday specials. From It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown to Martha Stewart’s Halloween decoration show, I have watched it all. Yet, I was completely taken back when I looked online and saw that The Food Network has two very special guests on one of their programs. Read more after the break for who will be joining Mr. Zombie on a Halloween special only on The Food Network.

Not only will Mr. Devil’s Rejects himself be on there, but he will be joined by longtime scream teen Goosebumps writer, R.L. Stine! The name of the show is called Halloween Wars and also stars horror hotties Jamie King and Scott Taylor-Compton. The show will air over the month of October for four weeks and will have some top notch pastry chefs competing for the tastiest and most repulsive looking treats for the season. The four mentioned will hold as judge and jury for the contestants. It sounds appealing. Here is the official press from The Food Network:

Food Network puts viewers in the Halloween spirit, serving up a deliciously scary new prime time series, “Halloween Wars”, premiering Sunday, October 2nd, at 9pm ET/PT. The four-episode competition series places five teams, comprised of cake decorators, candy makers and pumpkin carvers, working in unison to create the ultimate Halloween themed display. One team is eliminated each week, with the winner taking home $50,000. Hosted by Justin Willman (“Cupcake Wars”), and including renowned cake decorator Shinmin Li and Hollywood conceptual artist Miles Teves on the judging panel, the competitors must battle it out to prove who is the best, all the while scaring viewers’ pants off with some of the most amazing horror tales through their cake, candy and pumpkins. Each episode will see a celebrity guest judge join the panel including Rob Zombie (musician/film director, Halloween), Jaime King (actress, Sin City), Scout Taylor-Compton (actress, The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement), and R.L. Stine (author, Goosebumps).

Episodes include:

This actually sounds like a good show, and with the ratings these type of programs get on normal days, I wouldn’t be surprised to see more for the fall holiday. I’m not a fan of the Food Network per say (although for some reason I loved Naked Chef back in the day), but I will for sure tune in to see the creations they make. Hopefully so will you.

Always a fan of horror, comics, and games Travis started his own personal blog about the St. Louis "nerd" life back in 2000. He soon started his own radio program "The Gutter" in 2006 which featured various types of metal music along with news on the horror industry.
