Steven Spielberg watches the 1976 Oscar Nominations with a ‘Maniac’

/Film posted this video today from YouTube (via Video Thunder) that I thought was interesting. One, you see documentation of a young Spielberg watching television as the 1976 Oscar Nominations are announced in an unfiltered way. However, this isn’t just home video footage. There are title cards in the video along with a fade transition which tells me this was filmed for something or it might have been the start of non-behind the scenes footage. This is something that I could see on a DVD or maybe the upcoming Blu-Ray (hint, hint).

I’ll let the video speak for itself but keep a look out for an actor that horror fans might recognize.

Andy Triefenbach is the Editor-in-Chief and owner of DestroytheBrain.com. In addition to his role on the site, he also programs St. Louis' monthly horror & exploitation theatrical midnight program, Late Nite Grindhouse. Coming from a household of a sci-fi father and a horror/supernatural loving mother, Andy's path to loving genre film was clear. He misses VHS and his personal Saturday night 6 tape movie marathons from his youth.
