Nitrogods Take You For a Creepy Ride on the “Zombietrain”

When the DTB! crew aren’t soaking in as many movies we can in a dark theater or from the comfort of our own couches, we frequently enjoy having a pint and rocking out to some good tunes.  It just so happens that the new song from Nitrogods has a great sound and a zombie-themed video to appropriately compliment the title.  “Zombietrain” combines a catchy tune with raspy vocals that are reminiscent of Lemmy from Motorhead.  The video – seen below – frequently morphs in and out of abstract shapes and designs, painting an abstract and creepy portrait with a minimalist color palette.  Jarrod Prince and Awesome Fighter Animation is responsible for the killer art.  So if you are in the mood to crack open a cold one and get a little crazy this weekend, this song might help you get fired up.  Enjoy.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
