Upset Sundance Attendee wants McKee’s THE WOMAN burned!

While everyone is talking about Kevin Smith’s Red State premiering at Sundance, there was another horror film that also was shown for the first time last night.  The film was Lucky McKee’s The Woman.  While Smith’s premiere was surround by premeditated hoopla, what happened at McKee’s premiere was something that most horror fans hear about at film festivals not catered directly to the genre crowd.  Patrons walked out of the film in digust.  One man was so upset that when trying to interrupt other questions with his ramblings on about how disgraceful and how invaluable the film was, he was asked to leave.  Luckily, someone recorded about 6 minutes of the escorting.

Thank you to whoever put this up.  This is the stuff that we hear about but always are quick to call bullshit thinking that it is all to create buzz.  I’m not discrediting some reports, but most of this stuff is genuine.  In the time I have been running this site, I have seen elderly people go see horror films at advance screenings yet they still come out in digust stating that it was too gory, too bloody and not worth their time.

Before I start to go on a seperate diatribe, I should probably show you the video.

I don’t know if McKee’s The Woman is good or bad.  However, it seems that it has caused many reactions and to me, it is something to note.
