SLIME CITY MASSACRE DVD Available May 10th from Media Blasters

Media Blasters announced late last year that they picked up Greg Lamberson’s Slime City Massacre for DVD and there is finally a release date! SCM will be released May 10th, 2011 through Media Blasters’ Shriek Show label which is responsible for such DVD releases as Frank Henenlotter’s Bad Biolgy and Lee Demarbe’s Smash Cut. Read beyond the break for more information about SCM.

SCM is the long awaited follow-up to Greg Lamberson’s Slime City (1988).  The first installment centered on Alex, a student who just moved into a run-down New York City building. When he drinks a strange concoction whipped up by his bizarre neighbors he turns into a slimy, murder-craved lunatic. The movie lives up to its title with slime flowing endlessly from our protagonists blisters and boils and its sequel promises to deliver the same.

SCM stars horror Goddess Debbie Rochon, Jennifer Bihl, and Kealan Patrick Burke and is available now for pre-order at www.rightstuf.com. Just click here to order now! Here is a description of SCM from their website:

A dirty bomb has decimated New York City’s financial district and reduced midtown to a post-apocalyptic nightmare. The neighborhood known as “Slime City” has been evacuated, except for the homeless, and in the ruins of a soup kitchen four squatters discover a supply of food that transforms them into hideous slime creatures, driven to murder!

Meanwhile, a greedy developer who has set his sights on Slime City hires a team of mercenaries to wipe out the creatures. It’s a battle royale between the Slime Heads, the mercenaries, and bloodthirsty mutant cannibals!

The DVD features tons of cool extras like behind the scenes footage, cast & crew commentary, and “Slime City Survivor” which is a feature-length documentary on the making of Slime City Massacre.
