‘[REC] 3: Genesis’ releases a bloody Red Band Trailer

The [REC] series continues! After the ball on the first [REC] film was dropped as far as a US Theatrical release was concerned – thanks to the remake called Quarantine – Magnet Releasing has picked up the ball and released [REC] 2 and is now releasing the third entry. The fourth and final entry is still in pre-production. Check out the Red Band trailer for the film below (you get to see her use the chainsaw!) and be sure to either rent it on VOD on August 3rd or in select theaters, if you are lucky, on September 7th.

Synopsis:

Koldo and Clara are about to celebrate the most important day of their lives: their wedding. Everything appears to be running smoothly and the bride, the groom and their families are enjoying a wonderful day in the countryside until some of the guests start showing signs of a strange illness. Before they know what’s happening, the bride and groom find themselves in the middle of a hellish ordeal, as an uncontrollable torrent of violence is unleashed on the wedding. What started off as an idyllic day quickly descends into a nightmare of the worst kind…

[REC] 3: GENESIS was written by Luiso Berdejo and Paco Plaza and directed by Paco Plaza.  It has a running time of 80 minutes and is rated R by the MPAA.

Magnet Releasing will release the film on VOD on Friday, August 3, 2012 and in select theaters on Friday, September 7, 2012.
