Julia Stiles joins DEXTER this upcoming season

Television has been a touchy subject for me. While I believe there are some good programs out there, there is a lot of recycled garbage as well. DEXTER is not one of them. I have read the first two books and I love how the Showtime show has gone off a different path back with the second season onward.

Last season was a doozy. John Lithgow gave a truly great performance as the serial killer of the season. The past season also ended with a shocker. For those that haven’t seen it, I will try my best not to spoil it.

Hollywood Reporter writes that Julia Stiles has joined the cast….

Julia Stiles has joined the cast of Showtime’s “Dexter” for the show’s upcoming fifth season.

The actress will appear in 10 episodes in the upcoming season, playing “a mysterious young woman who forms a unique relationship with Dexter (Michael C. Hall).”

Production on the fifth season begins this month and also includes the return of Julie Benz who, last season, played Dexter’s wife.

I deleted and modified some the quoted text to keep it as spoiler free as possible.  If you click on that Hollywood Reporter link, you can spoil yourself to death.

P.S. I’m super stoked to see this season.  I would love to have a premiere party in St. Louis!
