EXCLUSIVE: Fred Williamson joins Franco Nero in Castellari Western
Last month I attended St. Louis’ first Horror, SciFi and Pop Culture convention CON-TAMINATION. I was super excited to meet Fred Williamson as I missed him at the fall Cinema Wasteland show back in 2009.
I was able to score a quick interview with the Godfather of Soul Cinema, Fred Williamson. After asking him some questions about his career, he gave me news that made my jaw drop and by the headline, hopefully your jaw dropped as well.
Fred Williamson told me that he would be flying out to Spain to join his friends Franco Nero and Enzo Castellari to film a new spaghetti western this June. Unfortunately, Williamson wasn’t able to give me a title of the film but he did say that it would get an Italian theatrical release with a stateside release to be determined.
