Edward James Olmos Joins Other New Blood for DEXTER

Showtime’s adapatation of Jeff Lindsey’s character of Dexter has been a story to follow even for genre fans.  I was super proud to hear that such a dark character could even be lovable.  Dexter starts production tomorrow for its sixth season to air this fall.  The Hollywood Reporter just posted that Edward James Olmos has joined some of the new cast for this season.  He will be joining other newbies to the show like Colin Hanks and Mos Def.  For more about his character, read beyond the break.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

The Emmy- and Golden Globe-winning actor will play a brilliant, charismatic professor of religious studies.

Olmos joins recently announced guest stars Colin Hanks and Mos, formerly Mos Def, in the new season.

Production on the sixth season of Dexter begins Wednesday in Los Angeles and will launch on Showtime this Fall.

Can’t get enough of Dexter and you are all caught up on the show, I highly advise you check out the books.  The first book is pretty close to the second season but that is where the novels and the show diverge.  The second book is delightfully diabolical.
