WORLD WAR Z is now Set for Attack

Marc Forster (Quantam of Solace) has a tough job to do.  Attempting to successfully adapt one of the most groundbreaking genre novels in recent time is no easy feat.  Add to that, that Max Brooks’ book is essentially just a series of short stories or accounts from a variety of different characters.  World War Z will undoubtedly split fans no matter what direction Forster and his team go.  Regardless of the outcome, fans are still going to line up around the block on the day of its release to witness the aftermath of a war between humans and the zombies.  Speaking of the day of release . . . Paramount has just officially announced that the highly anticipated film will be released on Dec. 21, 2012.  For those keep track at home, that is only 4 days before Tarantino is set to release his slave epic Django Unchained.  It’s going to be an awesome Christmas!  Brad Pitt can be seen in the new photo taken on-set above.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
