What’s in the train car? A new SUPER 8 Clip!

Super 8 is one of the most highly anticipated films of the summer . . . if not the highest.  For good reason, too.  The one- two punch of J.J. Abrams and Steven Spielberg is enough to get any film fan excited, but throw in some zombie movie-making kids and a unknown monster and you have what could be one of the best recent entries in genre film-making.  I know I am setting myself up for failure whenever I hype up a movie this much, but I have a feeling this one isn’t going to let me down.  In fact, even if you watch this new action packed clip beyond the break, I have the feeling that Abrams has so much more going on in the film that we don’t even know about.

Moviefone released the new clip which you can find below.  This new clip pretty much picks up directly from the end of the clip that was previously released.  Towards the end of this clip, when the train door keeps thumping, I can’t help but saying in my best Brad Pitt impression, “What’s in the train car? What’s in the train car?!”

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
