Trent Reznor Serenades a GIRL WITH A DRAGON TATTOO With this new Song

Coming off of a well-deserved win at this past year’s Oscars for his amazing score to The Social Network, Trent Reznor is currently hard at work re-teaming once more with director David Fincher and Atticus Ross for a score to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  As evident in the new song found beyond the break, the soundtrack seems to expand on the technological soundscapes that were first explored in the Nine Inch Nails album Ghost I-IV.  It is a fairly simple track, much like the songs in The Social Network, but is instantly recognizable as the “Trent Reznor sound.”  The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo heads to theaters December 21.  While we’re waiting for the brutal murder mystery to be released, get your first listen at the haunting sounds of the movie.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
