The Return of KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS

If you were a fan of movies like Arachnophobia, like I know most of you were, then you know there is a hidden obsession with spiders in the horror genre. Monster movies involving creatures that humans are naturally afraid of will never die. So of course in this day and age it’s time to start remaking them.  Prepare to re-enter the Kingdom of the Spiders.

Movies like Eight Legged Freaks were hilarious. Though jumpy at some points, it mainly focused more on humor than scares. One of the cult classics involving the arachnids is Kingdom of the Spiders from 1977. It has been reported that they are set to remake the film and have released a teaser poster for it as well. Similar to the Piranha remake, this film will be in 3D and I’m sure will leave audiences squirming with thoughts of the spiders crawling all over them. Nuala Barton and Rene Sheridan are producing the update and stated this about the film: “We are delighted to be working with Stealth Media’s Jason Piette, Sean O’Kelly and Michael Cowan to bring this cult classic back to larger than life, in 3D.” The movie will be released by Stealth Media but no cast has been set yet. Check out the teaser poster below courtesy of Monster Island News.
