The First Two Official ‘DJANGO UNCHAINED’ Images Walk Into Town

For many people, one of the most anticipated films this year is Quentin Tarantino‘s slavery, spaghetti-western, epic – Django Unchained.  A few weeks ago the first poster was released for the film. It was a simplistic design that got to the center of the story: the coming together of the two main and very different characters.  The leads in question are played by Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz.  Though there are some scenes that don’t include the two of them, the majority of the film is spent with these two as they work together to get Django’s wife back from the slave owning Calvin Candie (Leonardo DiCaprio).  Now, we finally have images too associate with these characters. Entertainment Weekly has the first two images from the film that introduce us to the three main characters in question.  The most obvious thing worth noting from these photos is the elaborate costumes.  It may just be the lighting or these specific costumes, but I imagined the characters and their costumes to be slightly more worn in or used.  Foxx’s jacket seems awfully bright.  Nevertheless, I’m excited to see much more from this film and I’m sure we will in the months leading up to the film’s December 25 release date.  For now, take a look at the pictures seen below, and if you haven’t read our script review of the film, you can find that right HERE.  Also, click the EW link above to read more about what the actors have to say about the film.
