The 100% Medically Inaccurate Trailer for HUMAN CENTIPEDE 2 has Arrived

Following the news that the film will be the opening night film at Fantastic Fest 2011 (look for mine or Andy’s review to follow), Human Centipede II: Full Sequence has debuted the first US teaser trailer.  Mainly reminding you of the events which occurred in Tom Six’s initial film, the trailer gives us very little footage of the new gore-fest.  Yet, we do get to finally see our new villain, Martin, in action.  For me, the highlight of this trailer is a great scene involving Martin watching a centipede in an aquarium.  This scene reminds me of what made the first film better than expected (at least for me).  Surprisingly, the most disgusting aspect of the first film is the idea of the film.  Never showing the actual surgery and only alluding to the more disgusting aspects of the centipede, Six’s 2009 film is really an exercise in self-control.  Unfortunately it seems he has lost this idea based on what has been said of the new film.  Keep reading to watch the teaser.

Yahoo! Movies debuted the teaser seen below. Human Centipede II crawls into limited theaters Oct. 7.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
