Take a Look at the First Trailer for MOTHER’S DAY

As Darren Lynn Bousman begins shooting in Spain his new fright flick 11-11-11, we are treated to our first look at his last film.  The highly anticipated Mother’s Day was set to open last year, but encountered distribution problems.  Now, after a mixed review response following last year’s Fantastic Fest, the remake of the Troma classic is set to be released April 1st.  To get your first look at footage from the film, view the trailer beyond the break.

Rebecca De Mornay looks unbelievably creepy in the footage seen below.  Her performance alone makes this one of my most anticipated films of the year.  The trailer seen below is an unofficial trailer that was used for foreign distribution sales. What do you think?

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
