Spanish Home Invasion Film KIDNAPPED Sneaks in With a New Trailer

Using only 12 long shots in a 84 min. film, Spanish director Miguel Angel Vivas has created what some are calling one of the most tense film of 2010.  Kidnapped tells quite a simple story. A young family has just moved into a new luxurious home, when three hooded men break in one night.  It really is that simple.  Yet, it is director Vivas’s documentary style approach to the subject matter that makes this film look extremely interesting.  I can’t wait to see it, and I am sure after you watch the new trailer (which you can find after the jump) you will feel the same way.

A Review for Kidnapped will be up within a week as part of Andy’s Fantastic Fest 2010 Coverage.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
