See Francis Ford Coppola’s Creepy New ‘TWIXT’ Poster

It is always a shame to hear that a once great director has failed (once again) to create a well-made film.  Francis Ford Coppola is certainly a talented director.  Unfortunately though, he has fallen on a series of disappointing films that have failed to match the quality of previous efforts like The Godfather and Apocalypse Now.  The recent buzz regarding Coppola’s recent 3D experimental film Twixt, is far from positive.  In fact … many are saying that it is a complete disaster.  No word has been released yet regarding the US distribution of the film.  Though for some of our European readers, it’s getting released in France in April with the possibility of other countries to follow.  Below you can see the new poster featuring Elle Fanning.

A writer with a declining career, who arrives in a small town as part of his book tour and gets caught up in a murder mystery involving a young girl. That night in a dream, he is approached by a mysterious young ghost named V. He’s unsure of her connection to the murder in the town, but is grateful for the story being handed to him. Ultimately he is led to the truth of the story, surprised to find that the ending has more to do with his own life than he could ever have anticipated.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
