See every Death in the FINAL DESTINATION Series in this great new Video

With early buzz praising the fifth installment in this entertaining horror series, it seems only fitting to go back and see how the films all began.  In 2000, writer/director James Wong gave the slasher film a new twist.  With Final Destination, you don’t have a madman stalking teenagers in a mask.  You have death itself.  Using subtle wind or the shift of seemingly placed items, Wong and his team gave audiences the idea that death was around every corner constantly awaiting to get us.  After a normal group of kids barely escapes a catastrophic death by plane explosion, death hunts the kids down one by one.  The subsequent films in the series expanded on this clever premise and continued in the gory fashion of creative deaths.  Aside from the half-ass acting that is usually on display in the films, the series managed to get one thing right: They never took themselves too seriously.  Forgetting lame back-stories and unmemorable side-plots, the films have always been about the deaths and that is why they have all worked.  In preparation for Final Destination 5, which hits theaters Friday, a video has been put together reminding fans of every gory detail in the successful franchise. Keep reading to watch the bloody results.

This video is from Screened. Who I must say, has done a phenomenal job with this one.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
