See Chris Hemsworth in Action in First Behind the Scenes Video for ‘THOR: THE DARK WORLD’

The dust from the box-office explosion The Avengers created has barely cleared the air and news and info on Marvel’s “Phase 2” is in full action.  With sequels to Iron Man, Captain America, and Thor, along with new properties like Guardians of the Galaxy heading our way, it should come as no surprise if Marvel continues to rule Hollywood and audiences for the next couple of years.  Although I was a huge fan of The Avengers, Thor’s solo film without the rest of his heroic team left me empty and bored to say the least (you can read my original  review of Thor HERE).   That’s not to say that I’m not excited though about the sequel.  With Alan Taylor (Game of Thrones, The Sopranos) handling the direction this time around, I’m hoping his take on the material falls more in line with the wonderful handling he has done with Game of Thrones.  One of my biggest complaints with the first film is that three out of the four action sequences were darkly lit, and the fact that they were poorly edited together made them all the harder to follow.  In a new behind the scenes video from the sequel, Thor: The Dark World, we see – in broad daylight no less – Chris Hemsworth and others battling to the death in an epic action sequence.  The heroes of Asgard are currently filming in England right now.  Check out the video below.

Thor: The Dark World will be released on November 8, 2013.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.

Hmm it seems like your site ate my first comment (it was super long) so I guess I'll just sum it up what I submitted and say, I'm thoroughly enjoying your blog. I too am an aspiring blog writer but I'm still new to the whole thing. Do you have any recommendations for inexperienced blog writers? I'd definitely appreciate it.
