‘ROOM 237’-esque documentary ‘SPOOK CENTRAL’ focuses on ‘GHOSTBUSTERS’

Look. Look what the documentary Room 237 did! Are we going to see more documentaries exploring films that we love and that are long revered? While I love hearing about theories of films, do we really think that the documentary format, sans talking heads, is really the way to go about it? In watching the trailer for the upcoming doc Spook Central that focuses on the 1984 film phenomenon Ghostbusters, I get the sense that we get some of those hair-brained theories that most of us didn’t care for out of Room 237 when talking about Kubrick’s The Shining. However, even in Room 237, there were at least one or two theories that had some credibility. Check out the trailer for Spook Central below.

Spook Central is looking to be released in late September per the uploader. However, could this be a joke to mock Room 237. The fact that all the speakers are from, what I can hear, the same region along with some questions about the credits that Bill Peschel (click his name to reveal what he found) also points out.
