New INSIDIOUS Commercial reveals Critics Thoughts and a few New Scares

Insidious, the new film from director James Wan and writer Leigh Whannell, will be opening tomorrow (though there are some Midnight screenings tonight) to mostly positive early reviews.  Mixing an all-star cast that includes Patrick Wilson and Barbara Hershey and some creepy ghostly imagery, Insidious seems to mark the first straight-up quality horror film released this year (sorry, The Roommate).  To get a look at some new footage from this new fright flick, check out the video beyond the break.

Like I previously stated, many cities and theaters are doing a midnight show tonight for you night- owls.  Insidious does officially open tomorrow April 1st.  Make sure to check back tomorrow to read my review of the film!

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
