Hop into the Driver’s Seat and Test DRIVE this new Trailer

Don’t you love Comic-Con!  There is so much new material, trailers, clips, and posters debuting, it’s hard to wrap my head around everything.  We, here at DTB, are going to do our best though to give you as much of the stuff coming out of this year’s convention as possible.  Next up on the list tonight is the debut red-band trailer for Drive.  Nicolas Winding Refn has made a name for himself with his brutal look at humanity in the films Bronson, Valhalla Rising, and The Pusher Trilogy.  On top of that, he made a house-hold name out of Tom Hardy when he cast him as the star of Bronson (you’re welcome Christopher Nolan).  Refn is a flashy director from Denmark that certainly has a knack for interesting visuals, but he also has the chops to reel in his actors and maintain an engaging story.  Drive looks to continue his race to the finish line as one of the top genre directors working today.  The films stars Ryan Gosling and Albert Brooks and can now be seen in a new trailer after the break.

Drive also stars the always lovely and voluptuous Christina Hendricks.  In the film, Gosling plays a stuntman who moonlights as a wheelman at night.  When a heist goes wrong, he has more than just actors chasing after him now. Drive shifts into theaters September 16.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
