HOBO Director lays down the Shotgun and gets ready for some Hand-to-Hand Fighting

Jason Eisener created a non-stop exploitation blood-fest with his debut film Hobo With a Shotgun.  Easily one of the most entertaining pieces of “grindhouse-esque” films to have come out recently (sorry Machete), Hobo blasted open the doors for a new director’s name to keep an eye out for in the future.  Now, we know a little more about that director’s follow-up film.  Eisner had previously hinted at a mysterious film called BVH.  Not knowing what it stood for, many were left in the dark about what the letters could mean.  At the UK Frightfest Film Festival, Karim Hussain, the director of photography on BVH told Bleeding Cool that the title stood for Blatant Violence High.  The film is said to be a street-fighting film that is influenced by both the movie The Warriors and the computer game Vigilante.  To say this film sounds right up Eisener’s blood-drenched alley is an understatement.  Given these new details, I can’t wait to see what the crazy Canadian has in-store for us next.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
