Full Trailer for ‘TOTAL RECALL’ Lands Sunday but Enjoy this Teaser For Now

Even though I will always love to quote Arnie’s signature line toward the end of the original 1990 film – “See you at the party, Richter!” – I still fully acknowledge that Verhoeven’s Total Recall is not a very good movie.  In fact, I have to admit that I’m excited at the prospect of them taking another shot at capturing the spirit of Philip K. Dick’s short story, “We Can Remember It For You Wholesale.”  Len Wiseman is at the helm this time with Total Recall.  His previous directing credits include the first two Underworld films and the recent Live Free or Die Hard.  None of those films particularly made a strong impact with me, but I still look forward to seeing what he does with this anticipated film.  The full trailer will arrive on Sunday, April 1.  For now you can get enjoy the teaser for the trailer (much like what was previously done with Prometheus) below.

As the nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai vie for supremacy, a factory worker (Farrell) begins to suspect that he’s a spy, though he is unaware which side of the fight he’s on.

And just in case you want to relive my favorite moment of the original 1990 film, watch this clip below.  Warning: it’s a big spoiler since it shows the death of a character.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
