Finally! See Peter Vincent in action in new FRIGHT NIGHT Trailer!

In case you missed the wonderful MTV Twilight Awards . . . I’m sorry Movie Awards, there was a bunch of stupid teen movies that got awards, but viewers also got some new trailers for some upcoming summer films.  One of these trailers happened to be a long and pretty effective new trailer for Craig Gillespie’s (Lars and the Real Girl) remake of Fright Night.  Though the trailer opens with your typical high-school comedy jokes about hot girls and people that read Twilight, the end of the trailer really kicks into high gear.  Aside from the closing trailer music that sets a really nice tone, we get some great new images that show Colin Farrell ready to feast, a nest of vampire brides, and David Tennant as Peter Vincent!  I’m still not entirely sure about the overall look of the film and its setting in this desert  neighborhood, but this new trailer certainly makes me want to see this a lot more than the first trailer did.  Keep reading to take a look.

I have come to terms with the fact that is not going to be better than the original Fright Night and that I need to just deal with it.  Now that I can get over the fact that they are unnecessarily remaking it, maybe I might enjoy this version that has a really strong and likable cast.

Fright Night hits theaters August 19th.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
