Creepy Clip Surfaces from the new Michael Biehn film BEREAVEMENT

I don’t know why this film has not shown its gritty head more on my radar recently.  I blame it on the fact that I have been under the weather and not quite on my “A” game.  Bereavement is a new horror film starring genre favorite Michael Biehn (The Terminator, Aliens) that is being released in limited theaters beginning this weekend.  The poster that has been previously released gave us a creepy image to work with.  Yet, the new clip that popped online today raises the creepiness to a whole different level. Continue reading to check it out.

The new clip featured below was given to Cinemablend today.  In it, you will find a hint at the depravity in the film.  What suprised me the most were some of the great camera shots just in this small clip. Hopefully it comes to a town near you.

In 1989, six year old Martin Bristoll was kidnapped from his backyard swing in Minersville Pennsylvania. Graham Sutter, a psychotic recluse, kept Martin imprisoned on his derelict pig farm, forcing him to witness and participate in unspeakable horrors. Chosen at random, his victim’s screams were drowned out by the rural countryside. For five years, Martin’s whereabouts have remained a mystery, until 17 year old Allison Miller (Alexandra Daddario) comes to live with her Uncle, Jonathan (Michael Biehn). While exploring her new surroundings, Allison discovers things aren’t quite right at the farmhouse down the road. Her curiosity disturbs a hornet’s nest of evil and despair that once torn open, can never be closed. Starring Michael Biehn, Brett Rickaby, Alexandra Daddario, and John Savage. Written and Directed by Stevan Mena

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
