Behind the Scenes Photo from ‘Looper’ May Reveal a Time Machine

Sitting high on my list of most anticipated films of 2012 (look for that article tomorrow) is a film called Looper.  It may not have the most recognizable name behind it , but it may have one of the most talented up-and-coming directors working in the business.  Rian Johnson previously directed the modern day film-noir Brick, and then followed the success of that up with the criminally under seen crime comedy The Brothers Bloom.  Next up is a sci-fi thriller that has him re-teaming with Brick star Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Bruce Willis, and Emily Blunt.  Not much has been revealed from Looper as of yet.  Except a new photo has surfaced on the film’s tumblr page that shows the director sitting within what looks like a time machine or some other technological device.  It’s pretty impressive.  I only hope that this will ignite a massive amount of new material to be released for us to soak in from the film.  Check it out below.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
