After this new Trailer, KILL LIST is at the Top of my List of Upcoming Films

Ben Wheatley’s surreal hit-man film, Kill List, caused a sensation at the past SXSW festival where it premiered.  The film follows a former soldier who is asked to go on a mission by a mysterious figure to target specific people.  From what I hear, the film is also a lot more than just that, as evidenced by the above photo.  My recommendation: The film should play better the less you know.  So, avoid any detailed descriptions  and certainly don’t read any spoilerific reviews.  For now, just take in the new trailer found beyond the break and tell me if it doesn’t quickly move to the top of your most anticipated upcoming film.

Kill List will screen at FrightFest on Sunday, August 28 and will open in limited release on September 2.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
