Action Builds in New Trailer for Season 3 of ‘GAME OF THRONES’

Anyone who knows me or listens to the Destroy the Brain Podcast (which you should) has heard me recount my lack of interest in tv shows.  Whether it’s a lack of time and committment that I want to give or my lack of patience for stories that seem to drag on for far too long, I never seem interested in a show for more than a few seasons.  I’d much rather get swept up into a new and exciting two hour movie than revisit the same characters week after week.  That being said, there’s a few standouts that I do watch and look forward to with anticipation.  One of which is Game of Thrones.  HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s popular and as of yet unfinished book series has been a huge hit with fans and critics.  Quite a few friends of mine who have read the books have unanimously agreed that the third book is by far the best.  Granted, the series has not literally adapted each book to coordinate with the timing of each season from the first to final episode, but season 3 will more or less follow the events of the third book.  To get you excited for the new season which debuts in a few weeks, check out the new trailer below set to a song by Daft Punk featured in Tron: Legacy.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
