They’re Making Another One? ‘WRONG TURN 5: BLOODBATH’ Cover Art is Revealed

After Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings was over, I found myself thinking:  great gore, somewhat campy, terrible movie, and never going to watch it again. Well, I lied because I watched it again for no other reason than I didn’t have anything else to watch. One thing I was not prepared for though was another one. Well it looks as if I better get the DVD player ready because another film in the franchise is headed our way!

The fifth installment of the Wrong Turn series titled Wrong Turn 5: Bloodbath looks to bring nothing new to the table just some more good old hillbilly mutant killing fun. They have released the DVD cover art which can be found below. I have always been a fan of high numbered film series but I’m not sure how far this will go. It seems as if the franchise is happy making the straight to DVD and on-demand releases so there is a chance we may see this number increase dramatically much like the Hellraiser series. Speaking of Hellraiser, one of the stars of Wrong Turn 5 is Douglas Bradley aka “Pinhead”.  He along with Camilla Arfwedson,  Simon Ginty, Oliver Hoare, Amy Lennox, Paul Luebke, Duncan Wisbey, Kyle Redmond – Jones, Peter Brooke, Radoslav Purvanov, Georgi Karlukovski, Roxanne McKee, and Bobi Iliev will all be in the film. Bloodbath will be directed by Declan O’Brien (Wrong Turn 3 and 4) and will be released later this year. Here is the press release from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment:

“Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment has started production on the next installment of the horror genre hit, Wrong Turn. Director and writer Declan O’Brien (Wrong Turn 4: Bloody Beginnings, Sharktopus) returns to the helm of his third film in the franchise, with Doug Bradley, best known for his role of ‘Pinhead’ in the Hellraiser films, leading the cast. Filming is underway in and near Sophia, Bulgaria and is expected to end May 5.

In the next chilling chapter of Wrong Turn, a small West Virginia town is hosting the legendary Mountain Man Festival on Halloween, where throngs of costumed partygoers gather for a wild night of music and mischief. But an inbred family of hillbilly cannibals kill all the fun when they trick and treat themselves to a group of visiting college students who are dying for a good time.“
