The Indonesian Action Hit ‘THE RAID: REDEMPTION’ Infiltrates Your DVD/Blu-ray Player This August
Without a doubt, one of my favorite films of the year so far is Gareth Evans’ non-stop thrill-ride The Raid – or for us who live in the US, The Raid: Redemption. The film boasted some of the most impressive action sequences I had seen on screen in years while literally kicking open the door to make way for a new action star on the rise: Iko Uwais. Look out Donnie Yen and Tony Jaa. If you were unable to see the Indonesian film when it made its limited theatrical run earlier this Spring, Sony Pictures Home Entertainment is releasing it on DVD and Blu-ray on August 14! I implore fans of bad-ass, action cinema to check out this foreign gem. Listed below are the special features that will appear on the release. While you are at it you might as well enjoy the trailer for the film once again. As if fans who have been following the film haven’t already watched it about a dozen times.
