BLACK DEATH Infects DVD This May

If you haven’t checked out Christopher Smith’s (Creep, Severance, Triangle) newest film on video on-demand right now, you will still have a chance very soon.  Black Death will spread its plague to DVD and Blu-ray on May 10.  Starring Sean Bean as a soldier for the church, Black Death tells the grim tale of an English village that is suspected of paganism and witchcraft after they haven’t succumbed to the plague. You can read Nyquill’s early review of the film here. Continue reading to check out the DVD cover and what special features you will find on the disc.

Sadly, the only extra features we will get is a behind the scenes featurette and a digital copy. This actually suprises me, given the fact that Magnet, the company releasng the disc, usually packs their DVD’s to the brim. Oh well. Dig on the cover art below.

Somewhere between growing up on a steady diet of Saturday morning trips to the local comic-book shop, collecting an unhealthy amount of action figures, and frequent viewings of Ray Harryhausen and Hammer Horror films, came forth a nerdy boy that was torn between journalism and the arts. In high school, Michael found himself writing a movie column for the school newspaper. Yet, he went on to get a BFA in Studio Art at Webster University. When not writing about films, you can still find him discussing classic horror, collecting action figures, and reading Batman. Clearly, not much has changed.
