GEEK OUT: Carpenter’s Cult Films Mashed into an Awesome Poster!

Rue Morgue’s Festival of Fear, an event I used to attend before air travel got very expensive, starts this weekend. Their main guest of honor is the one, the only, John Carpenter. Justin Erickson who is part of Toronto’s Phantom City Creative has created one of the coolest posters for Carpenter fans. Not only is it an amazing print but it also saves us fanboys some space on the walls by having four of John Carpenter’s most iconic films in one poster that acts as the official poster for the Festival of Fear!

From Rue Morgue’s website:

The official Festival of Fear print is here, and it’s a beauty. Designed by Justin Erickson, the 18″ x 24″ screen print is part of a signed and numbered edition of 200, available at the Rue Morgue booth at FoF. (Printing by D&L Screen Printing.)

If you are near Toronto Festival of Fear is definitely a must for a horror fan to attend, at least once. Rue morgue hosts great Q&A’s and awesome parties. Trust me, if you have never been….go! For those of us not near Toronto or cannot make it, little birdies are telling me some prints of this poster might be turned loose after the festival.

You can check out previous Q&A’s that I have recorded below:

In addition to his role on the site, he also programs St. Louis' monthly horror & exploitation theatrical midnight program, Late Nite Grindhouse. Coming from a household of a sci-fi father and a horror/supernatural loving mother, Andy's path to loving genre film was clear. He misses VHS and his personal Saturday night 6 tape movie marathons from his youth.
