St. Louis’ best haunted houses are opening this weekend!

I have lived in St. Louis for all of my 29 years.  I have been to every haunted house that has been open in the Metro area when I was in my teens and some of the best in St. Louis are The Darkness in Soulard and CreepyWorld in Fenton.  Read on for all the details on when you can enter into these haunted attractions plus the all-new Lemp Brewery Haunted House.

The Darkness in Soulard, CreepyWorld in Fenton and the all new Lemp Brewery Haunted House are the THREE big haunted attractions this year in St. Louis.

The Darkness in Soulard is consistently rated in the Top 3 of haunted attractions in the country and has been featured on several national TV shows such as National Geographic, Travel Channel and the History Channel’s “Modern Marvels.”  There is now a giftshop and game room where you can strap yourself in for a ride in the electric chair!

CreepyWorld in Fenton has some updates this year – they have added the Route 666 drive-in and the Ice Scream Factory which is in 3-D.

Lemp Brewery Haunted House will take you on an elevator ride 40 feet beneath the Lemp and into the haunted caverns.  [Editor’s Note: When I attended the Lemp Haunted Caverns back in high school, it was run by a different company. The feeling that you have underground after the elevator ride is pretty creepy.  I really can’t wait to check this one out!]

Tickets for each of the three attractions are $20 for adults/$15 for kids 50 inches in height and below.  Group discounts available and Speed Pass tickets available.  You can also buy one ticket for $50 which gets you into all 3 attractions. Save $2 by printing your tickets online (and bypass the box office!)  You can purchase the tickets and get more information at scarefest.com.

The Darkness Haunted House opens this Friday, September 10th!  CreepyWorld will open Friday, September 17th and the all-new Lemp Brewery Haunted House will open on Friday, September 24th.
