Long Beach Comic Con Is The Place To Be For All SAW Fans

The traps and props will truly come alive this year at the Long Beach Comic Con, as they have partnered with Lionsgate Films to bring a special SAW 3D experience to participants at the event. Props and costumes from all 7 SAW movies will be on display, and of course, they will be premiering SAW 3D on Oct. 29th.  Read on for more info on the event which also includes a special guest!

Another special surprise is that on Saturday, Oct. 30th, there will be a meet and greet autograph signing with franchise star Costas Mandylor (who plays Detective Mark Hoffman). The character of Hoffman has appeared in every SAW movie since his debut in SAW 3. The events planner Martha Donato, President of Mad Event Management was quoted as saying “When planning a convention we strive to give fans something they will remember forever. In partnering with Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures on this unforgettable weekend, we can give fans just that.” She also stated “We are thrilled to welcome Costas to Long Beach Comic Con and to have these iconic films showcased.”

SAW 3D is the first theatrical feature to be shot exclusively with the SI-3D digital camera system and will be released worldwide on Oct. 29th. SAW is the most successful horror franchise in box office history.  Although I’ve never really been of fan of the movies, I can’t deny the impact they have had on the horror genre. The films have crossed over attracting mainstream movie fans,  who seem to be more more excited about each year’s release than most horror snobs. This movie is slated as being the final film for the franchise, but like a bad Brett Farve joke, I will believe it when I see it. SAW 3D stars Tobin Bell, Cary Elwes, Costas Mandylor, Betsy Russell, and Sean Patrick Flannery. Its is directed by Kevin Greutert.
