Rumors spread last week that a six minute preview of the highly anticipated The Dark Knight Rises would be attached with Mission: Impossible- Ghost Protocol. Yet, the question still lingered: Why would Paramount let Warner Bros. plug their film in front of their own? I guess rivalries only exist in sports. At any rate . . . The Dark Knight Rises will screen a six minute preview prior to IMAX screenings of the new M:I film. AMC has revealed that 70mm IMAX screens will show the exclusive footage beginning December 16 when the Tom Cruise vehicle bursts onto IMAX screens. Many will remember that this same tactic was employed when The Dark Knight’s beginning sequence was shown prior to I Am Legend. Also worth noting, after that initial sequence was shown before Legend, a new trailer was shown immediately following the clip. Will this happen once again? Either way, make sure that the IMAX screen in your area has the proper specs for the footage. Click HERE to see a list of theaters that are equipped.
